This search targeted systematic reviews and original studies, published in PubMed and Cochrane, in the English language between January 1, 1970, and September 30, 2022. Our research encompassed retrospective series and prospective cohorts of patients who were sequentially recruited from previously analyzed individual studies, with a minimum sample size of 100 each for primary squamous cell carcinoma of the oropharynx.
