Ninety-five responses were received, representing a 49% response rate. Students demonstrated a strong foundation in discussing operative indications and contraindications (73%), anatomical knowledge (86%), and the identification of complications (70%), yet a notably smaller percentage felt ready to articulate operative procedures (31%). Students' average preparation time per case was 28 minutes, predominantly leveraging UpToDate and online video resources, which accounted for 74% and 73% of the resources used, respectively. The secondary analysis indicated a weak correlation between the utilization of an anatomical atlas and greater preparedness for discussing pertinent anatomical structures (p=0.0005). Impact factor was the means by which highly esteemed general surgery journals were assessed and ranked. Each journal's website's mission statements and core conduct principles were examined for expressions of support for diversity. A systematic review of surgical journals from 2016 to 2021 was carried out, leveraging PubMed and a list of 10 keywords, for the purpose of calculating the total number of diversity-themed articles. In our investigation of the racial and gender composition of editorial boards, we acquired both the present-day and the 2016 editorial board rosters. The roster member's images were harvested from academic institution's websites. Betaface facial recognition software was employed to evaluate the captured images. Medication optimization strategies directed at deprescribing, supported by implementation science, are not extensively studied. This Lebanese care facility, serving low-income patients on free medications, became the setting for a pilot medication review service, led by pharmacists and concentrating on deprescribing. The results of this study then assessed the level of acceptance of the recommendations by physicians. This study, in a secondary analysis, seeks to determine if this intervention impacts satisfaction levels, when contrasted with satisfaction stemming from usual care. The study site's intervention implementation determinants were linked to the constructs of the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), enabling the identification and management of implementation barriers and facilitators. The facility provided routine pharmacy services and medication fills to patients 65 years or older who take five or more medications, who were then separated into two groups. Both groups of patients were treated with the identical intervention. Patient satisfaction was ascertained in the intervention group straightaway after the intervention; conversely, for the control group, satisfaction assessment was performed just before the intervention.
